Chum, chum, cheree!

Earlier this week, I was honored to be featured on Lime & Violet's Daily Chum. If you don't know what that is, go ahead and check it out. I'll wait.

Back already? You're quick! Seriously, the Daily Chum can be a big time sink because it links you to all kinds of temptations. From patterns to rovings to yarn and lots of things in between, the Chum editors manage to find all manner of things that cause my checking account to weep.

When an editor asked if my Gull Wing Socks pattern could be featured, I was beyond flattered. If you found your way here because of that listing, I hope you found something interesting that keeps you checking in now and then. :)

Today a friend is listed in the Chum, which is equally as rewarding to see. Sharon from Stitchjones creates some great colorways, many inspired by the music of Rush, in both yarn and rovings. She's got some great sock kits, too, which come with one main color yarn and two coordinating colors to give you lots of design options. Her colorway "The Trees" inspired my Tree Bark Socks pattern. And I've seen some of the yarn spun up from her rovings and it's gorgeous. One of these days I'll find time to practice my spinning and try some out myself. Check out Sharon's stuff at her Etsy shop. You won't be disappointed!

As for knitting today, I don't have a picture, but I finished one sleeve on the February Lady Sweater yesterday and started the second one last night. I hope to have it completed this weekend. We'll see! Have I mentioned how much I love this pattern? Well, I do!

Next post will contain pictures, I promise! Bobbie took some of me wearing the sweater with one sleeve almost done on Wednesday at knit night, but I haven't seen them yet. :)

Next up is the Hanami shawl. I went and bought beads the other day and wound one of the skeins of Dream In Color Baby in the Petal Shower colorway, so I'm all set to go as soon as I finish the sweater. Wheee! I've been wanting to knit that shawl since the pattern first came out. Now I think I have the perfect yarn and perfect beads and I'm itching to get started.

Have a great weekend!

All of this talk of the February Lady Sweater is killing me! I must cast on but I am in the midst of sock knitting for Summer of Socks 08. Such a dilemma . . .
Congrats on being featured on Lime & Violet, the socks are a must knit accessory for the sweater.
