I just couldn't help myself!

On my last visit to my LYS, I saw a bunch of the new colors of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock and just couldn't help myself. I had to have some! I bought two skeins of the Devon colorway and it's been taunting me since it came home.

Last night, I couldn't take any more and wound one skein into a ball and cast on. This is the result: The beginning of a pair of Classy Slip-up socks from Betsy Lee McCarthy's Knit Socks! book. Isn't the color just scrumptious?

I took it with me to a doctor appointment today so I'd have something to do while waiting. Very satisfying, indeed, after having worked so long on shawls. I do have something else in the works, but it's still in the experimental stages, so you'll have to wait.

I love that book! I have it and it taught me everything I know about socks :). Actually, my very first pair was knitted from that book--no online help or anything. I really like that book :)

I've got a few more Lorna's Lace colorways in my stash, so far I only look at them and tell them, soon, very soon! ;o)
This sock yarn is so fantastic to wear.
