Evolution of pretty

From this. . .

Stitchjones BFL Bollywood - fiber

To this. . .

stitchjonesBFL - bollywood and delft singles

To this!

Stichjones 3-ply Bollywood & Delft - 290 yards, 10wpi-2

And a closer look. . .

Stichjones 3-ply Bollywood & Delft - 290 yards, 10wpi

It started with a 4-ounce bump of BFL roving from Stitchjones in her Bollywood colorway. Next came two 4-ounce bumps of her BFL roving in Delft (sorry, didn't take pictures of that roving).

I spun all that into three bobbins of singles and then plied them together to create the pretty 3-ply yarn you see. It's a nice aran weight, coming in at 10wpi, and there's about 290 yards of it.

It reminds me of Mountain Colors River Twist in the Missouri River colorway -- except theirs is 2-ply and mine is 3-ply (and I think mine is more colorful, too):

Now I have to decide to either knit with it or just gaze at it for a while.

Very pretty! You're right it does look like the MCRT that I helped RaNaye put on the shelves Friday. ;^)

I just love how it came out! Perfect balance of solid color and multi.

*Really* pretty - love the colors! I'd want to admire it for a while, but I'm not sure I'd be able to keep my hands off that long ;)

Gorgeous colors! I have just started spindle spinning & can't wait to spin enough yarn to knit with.
