What? Another project!

Modular vest back1Yeah, I caved. I bought that beautiful Malabrigo and I couldn't stand just looking at it sitting there, so I cast on. There's a reason I call that stuff "yarn crack," don't ya know!

Anyway, this is the first half of the back of the Striped Modular Vest pattern by Andra Knight-Bowman from the September 2008 issue of Creative Knitting. Mine obviously isn't striped, but I like the effect a lot. The colors in this yarn are just gorgeous and the softness is . . . well, if you've used Malabrigo, you know what I mean.

This is a very easy and quick knit. All garter stitch mitered squares. No counting, just one marker and you're off. Great stuff for relaxing.

Which is what I'm finished doing now, 'cause I just got a rush job from my employer, so instead of knitting this evening, I'll be typing.

Oh, geez! I just looked at the Web site for Creative Knitting and there's another great vest in the new issue. I love vests in the wintertime! Now I'm probably gonna have to go get a copy for that pattern (and maybe some other patterns, too). ACK!

Okay, okay, I hear you. Get back to work!

That vest is the very reason I bought that issue! I have been loving mitered square projects lately and have been working them on my knitting looms very easy
technique!
