I'm ready for my close-up!

modular vestFinished!

Okay, so I'm no model and this isn't Paris, it's just the food court at Haggen's market, but heck, I finished the modular vest!

Thanks to Rachel for taking the picture.

Details are. . .

Pattern: Striped Modular Vest by Andrea Knight Bowman, published in the September 2008 issue of Creative Knitting magazine.

Yarn: Malabrigo worsted in the Loro Barranquero colorway - 5 skeins, 1080 yards
I have a very small amount of yarn left. I could have made the bottom band a bit wider, but I think the length is perfect as is.

The button is a rock button purchased at All About Yarn. The colors match wonderfully.

And hey, I just discovered something cool. You can subscribe to Creative Knitting magazine in an online version. Once you subscribe, you get access to back issues in PDF format and instant acess to the next five issues, too. I can keep track of patterns stored on my computer a lot easier than in print, so I usually end up scanning the ones I like best and filing them electronically. Subscribing this way eliminates the need to scan the printed version and saves paper, too. Perfect! (Oh, NAYY if anyone cares.)

Anyway, this one is in the bag. I'm going to wear it tomorrow!
