Today was the first day of OFFF and it was awesome. Between the animals and the like-minded, fiber-loving people and the yarn and the fiber and the food. . .oh my, I just can't wipe the smile off my face!
My budget for the show took a huge hit today, but I didn't quite expend it all, although the Woolee Winder was really tempting. I'll have to save my pennies for that one, though. Fortunately, I know where they live, if ya know what I mean, and I know they'll be around for a while, so I think I can manage for a while.
After all, I want to live within my means -- unlike the big wigs in Washington. But that's off the subject at hand, sorry.
The bad blogger part is that when I left the house this morning, I kept feeling like I forgot something. Halfway to Canby, I realized what it was -- my camera!! I had taken the battery out to charge it and then left it in my office. ACK! It's already in my basket for tomorrow, though, so I'll be sure to get some pictures for you -- promise!
The PDX Knit Bloggers represented! We had lots of visitors and lots of people hanging out with us all day. It was awesome.
And BIG thanks to Bobbie and Melissa for helping me get my spinning technique going. By the end of the day, I had spun a full bobbin of a fairly acceptable single. I'm definitely hooked how! Tomorrow, Bobbie's going to help me ply the single and see how it turns out.
Did I mention that I can't stop smiling??

You looked so comfortable spinning; I didn't know you were new at it! How long have you been spinning? It was great to meet you!
