Nothing up my sleeves!

I'm busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockers this week, but wanted to update progress on several projects.

First, the Knotty Wrap sweater. I finished both sleeves after frogging one and gong down a needle size. I've got good gauge now. I've decided that I'll do the wraparound portion of the body in this needle size and use one size up for the cabled portion. That should work nicely to accommodate my out-of-balance physique. :)

I got distracted from working on this because I couldn't keep Hey, Teach off my mind. So I grabbed some needles (good think I have so many) and started a sleeve. Love how it's working up so far, although I haven't done a whole lot on it yet. I've seen a couple of these completed on Ravelry and I think I may end up making more than one, which is not something I usually do. We'll see!

Last night at my Wednesday knitting group, I made a little more progress on Hanami. This is looking so nice! The picture doesn't really do a good job of conveying the yarn color, but that's because I took a quick picture under less than optimal lighting conditions. I think, though, that I have a perfect match of yarn and pattern going on here. I've go until October to finish it for the KAL, so I need to start making more progress soon!

Finally, I finished the mosaic washcloth by crocheting an edge all the way around. Then I grabbed a crochet hook and stitch dictionary and did another one to go with it. The two will be a gift to a friend tonight along with some other goodies. (Hope she doesn't read the blog until after dinner!)

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I'm working at a party most of the day, helping to facilitate games like water balloon tosses and three-legged races. Afterwards, I'll head to a Red Cross blood drive, then jet across town to deal cards at a fundraiser. Whew!

On Saturday, you can find me at the Tigard Library from 10-3:00 for a "Knit-out (and Crochet)" event. I'll be answering questions, working on projects, demonstrating techniques, and basically hanging out. Find out more about the event here and if you're in Tigard, stop by and visit!

Whatever you're up to, have a great time!

Wow - that's a lot of knitting. I like the Hanami - it's looking good. I just have to finish my Pi shawl before I can cast on a new project.

I've started Hey Teach, as well, and am loving the lace pattern. Yours looks lovely! :)
