At long last. . .

Well, here are my pics from the yarn crawl. Better late than never, right? I had a nice long post all assembled and then Internet Explorer went PFFT! and it all disappaeared. The only thing Blogger managed to save was the slide show.

So, bear with me while I try to recreate all the text and links and pictures one more time. First, I'm gonna save this one!

Okay, now that we're "safe". . .

I won't bore you with an oh-so-late write up about the yarn crawl. Others have covered it quite nicely (and in a much more timely fashion), so I'll just pander a bit and link to Judy's post, Chrispy's post, Sara's post, Maia's post, Stephania's post, and Rodger's post. Whew!

I mentioned before that there has been some knitting happening here. And here is some evidence. This is my first ever Clapotis in progress. You see, on the sock yarn crawl I didn't buy any sock yarn. Yes, it's true. I resisted the urge since I have so much sock yarn in my stash already and I know I'll add more in two weeks at OFFF. So instead, I bought some lovely Noro Silk Garden Lite in color 2027 and started knitting this. It's coming along nicely. I just hope I bought enough yarn to make it long enough. I think I did. Oh, I also bought some Malabrigo Lace, but I haven't got it on the needles quite yet. I've swatched it a couple times, but haven't decided what it wants to be.

Finally, another of my test knit projects has appeared at the Knit Picks Web site and in their newest catalog. Some of you have probably knit this cute little baby sweater before. It's from Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitter's Almanac and is a quick, fun knit.

Wow, I normally try to avoid the camera. Your camera seemed to like me quite a bit.

Great job on the February sweater. I like your button placement. I now wish that I had done something similar. oh well I have many more opportunities to knit more baby sweaters. Won't the babies stop.

Nice choice for the Clapotis! I know I'm way behind the curve on that pattern; it was a big rage a year or two ago, but now that I've done one, I really like the way it moves. That may become my new MAX knitting pattern.

The clapotis looks great, but I'm really loving the baby sweater. Great job! I have that on my list of things to do sometime.

Love the slideshow - although the Pix, er, pix had my keyboard in danger. ;) Clapotis is looking wonderful, and the baby sweater is just too perfect in that cream.

Oh, you did that? This is a very cute baby sweater. I still have to tackle this one. I've seen it in many colors, but this natural yarn makes it look very festive. Well done, Cindy!
