As you can see, I still have to keep an eye on these sneaky beasts. I caught them just as they were practicing some slight-of-toe tricks before hot-footing it off to Spirit Mountain and Chinook Winds casinos! They are truly a pair of partiers. I hope I can keep them under wraps until August when they get sent to their new home. Then my pal can try and control them!
Specs:
Yarn: ShiBui Sock in Roppongi (shades of Peony, Lily, Mulberry), two 50-gram skeins
Needles: Set of five US2 Brittany 6" DPNs
Pattern: Waving Lace socks by Evelyn Clark, as published in IW Favorite Socks
Size: To fit a size 9 foot (I hope). If I made these for my humongous size 11 foot, they would need to be shorter or I would have run out of yarn. Still to come is a mini sock to match. I have enough yarn to make that, but not much else.
Although I wanted to cast on for the next pair of socks -- a pair that will be a birthday gift for a friend -- I held myself back. I did swatch for them, though, so I can start in the morning and it will be completely legal for the Summer of Socks run.
