Sangria anyone?

Vickis Victory Scarf - Abstract Fibers2

On the blocking table now, the finished Vicki's Victory Scarf in Abstract Fiber merino/tencel blend, in the Sangria colorway. Can you just about taste the pretty? Want some more?

Finished size is 7"x56", but it could have been longer. I used two strands throughout on size US7 needles.

See? Sock yarn can be used for other things, too!

I was hoping to take this to Sip 'n Stitch tonight, but it won't be dry by then.

Once I finished the scarf, it was time for something small, cute, and quick.

Fortunately, Karen had given several of us her Star Topped premie hat pattern at last week's Sip 'n Stitch to try out, so I dug up some acrylic from the back of the stash and came out with this:

Isn't it cute? I love how the pearl bumps spiral around the outside, but I particularly love the star that happens on the top. Just as sweet as can be. I think we've got a real hit here!

Specifics: Caron Dazzleaire (probably circa 1990 or something) in Celestial Blue, knit on US8 needles. A very quick knit!

Love the Sangria, both the colors and the stitch pattern. And the star hat is cute!

The scarf is gorgeous & the color really brings out the stitch pattern. Love it.
