The faster I go, the behinder I get!

It's September. No, wait, that can't be right. What happened to June, July, and August? How can summer be over when I never even got to start enjoying it??? And how on earth can Costco already have Christmas merchandise coming out???! Seriously! I went on Friday to pick up a prescription and a few other things and there it was -- Santas and Frosty and wrappings, oh my! Of course, the next isle over had Halloween stuff and that can't possibly be right, either!

Maybe I should change the title of this post to "the older I get, the behinder I get." Oy!

I have a lot of blog fodder that's been waiting to be posted.

To start things off, I received a wonderful package lat week from my Sockapalooza pal, Nicole. Isn't that a pretty box full of goodies? Oh, but wait, wonderous things are to be found inside!

Look! That's a beautiful project bag that's perfect for socks. I'm not sure, but I think Nicole might have made the bag herself. It's really cool and I love it! Plus there are jars of fruit butters (apple and cherry) that I can tell you are quite lovely on an english muffin in the morning. The little ewe scrubby is accompanied by a lamb that contains some lovely mint shower/bath gel. And of course there's chocolate -- which disappeared very quickly. Think I can blame the ewe?

But of course, this stuff was just the appetizer, because tucked inside the bag were these wonderful socks! They are soft and warm and beautiful. The yarn is Seacoast Panda socks in the color "Seaside." The pattern is Double Lace Ribbing from Sensational Knitted Socks.

Nicole was worried about fit on these socks because this is the first time she has knit socks for someone with feet bigger than her own. But there was no need to worry; they fit beautifully!

Thanks, Nicole! You rock!

Okay, that's a start. Next up, long-overdue pictures from the Sock Yarn Hop we did last weekend. Oh, and there has been some knitting going on. I always can find time for that! So I'll have some WIPs to show you, too. Stay tuned!
