Final Homespun Shawl

Just a short post today to show off the completed and blocked Homespun shawl. I think it came out really well. This picture shows its color quite nicely.

I hope it will retain it's shape when she washes it. The color is called Prairie and I love the way it striped so nicely. Once it was blocked, it's definitely a nice size, although I'd still add at least one more pattern repeat if it was for me. I sure hope she likes it AND uses it! I think it will be nice for her to wear in the office when she's doing paperwork for her business.

Oh, one more thing before I go get some work done to pay for more yarn. . . Here's the progress on the purple Spring shawl. That's just over one skein of the Debbie Bliss Cathay yarn. Behind it is the completed and blocked test version I did in Rowan All Seasons Cotton. The Rowan yarn is a bit bulkier than the Debbie Bliss. I think when this is blocked, it's going to look really, really nice. :)

First off, great shawl. Second, GREAT cartoon. And finally, the reason I popped by this afternoon was your comment on the Harlot's blog about wanting the one skein pattern. If you call or send an email to Lettue Knit, they happily ship all over the world.
